Autonomous drone flying is demonstrated between two Swedish citites in a European program

The Swedish Air Navigation Services Provider LFV, Linköping University (LiU) and Independent Business Group (IBG) will plan and conduct a flight with a larger drone between two Swedish cities. The test flight is scheduled for quarter 3, in 2022 and is part of a major European effort to demonstrate the societal benefits of drone services and to prepare future guidelines for them.

AVISEQ - LFV's new company

Now it's finished. LFV's new company within LFV Holding AB is named AVISEQ Critical Communication AB. AVISEQ, formerly Eltel Networks Aviation & Security AB, was acquired by LFV on April 30, 2020. AVISEQ's CEO Robert Sporrong is looking forward, together with his coworkers, to continue to provide high-quality technical operation and maintenance services in the company and be part of LFV. New Company in the LFV Holding Group

As of April 30, 2020, LFV has finalized the acquisition of Eltel's Aviation & Security business area. In June 2019 a letter of intent was signed between the parties and the transfer of shares is now completed. The newly formed company will be part of the LFV holding group. [20200504]

LFV acquires the Eltel Swedish Aviation & Security business area

The Eltel Swedish Aviation & Security business area provides technical operations and maintenance services to air traffic control centres, airports, other government agencies and companies in Sweden. In June 2019, LFV and Eltel signed a letter of intent now concluded in an agreement to acquire. [20200323]

Decline in air traffic in 2019

In 2019 air traffic in Swedish airspace declined for the first time since 2012. The number of aircraft movements was 774,000. These figures are included in LFV's 2019 annual report.
"There may be several concurrent explanations for this reduction in traffic, including an economic slowdown, the weak Swedish crown, and environmental and sustainability issues," says Ann Persson Grivas, Director General of LFV.
LFV had a turnover of SEK 3.1 billion in 2019, and the result after financial items was SEK -40 million. [2020-02-28]
